Mechwarrior: Mercenaries

Mechwarrior: Mercenaries
(PC, 2002)

Cyberlore Studios continued the success of Microsoft's Mechwarrior franchise with the release of this stand-alone sequel to Mechwarrior 4: Vengeance.

George played the voice of the Solaris Competition announcer, Duncan Fisher. This character provides the play-by-play and "color" commentary of each match. In creating the persona of Duncan Fisher, George had this to say:
"...I was inspired by the classic sportscasters Howard Cosell and Keith Jackson for their unique personalities and delivery style. The voice, however, is actually a variation of a Robert Stack impression..."
Described in various reviews as both "witty" and "verbose", the character has become a very recognizable figure in the gaming world.

Audio Samples

Duncan Fisher is just one of 18 different characters George portrayed in Mechwarrior 4: Mercenaries. Below is a a two minute "medley" of 15 of the voices I did for the game, including Duncan Fisher.

Other voices George performed were for characters called "Lancemates." Below are separate mixes of each of their voices.

Note: These samples are supposed to be radio transmissions so they may seem of low quality--but this is just how they sound in the game.
